Here are a few pointers to keep in mind concerning our wedding cake policy.

Cake Flavors:

Yellow Pound Cake (Lemon and Almond are top sellers), Chocolate Pound Cake, White Chocolate

Please let us know if you have a particular flavor in mind that is not listed.

Cake Fillings:

Buttercream Icing, Chocolate Buttercream Icing, Raspberry, Strawberry, Lemon, Cream Cheese

Icings:

White Buttercream – very smooth and not overly sweet and can be tinted to any desired color you want.

Fondant – A sweet pastry dough used to cover the cake and harden to create a smooth finish. We can tint the fondant to any color and it may be shaped into garnishes for your cake.

Matching colors:

We make every possible effort to match your wedding colors, however, to get as close as possible you must provide us with a color swatch. When working with food grade dyes, perfect color matches are sometimes impossible. Dark colored icings have a tendency to darken further with time, humidity, and heat.

Flowers:

If you choose to have fresh flowers on your cake, it is the florist’s responsibility for providing the flowers and making sure they are safe to place on an edible cake. If you expect us to place the flowers on the cake, the flowers must be at the reception site at the time agreed. If they are not, our staff will not be able to wait for their arrival and therefore will not be placed on the cake.

Equipment:

Plates, Pillars, and Staircase must be returned within 72 hours or a charge of $10.00 per day will be accessed. If the equipment is not returned, a replacement fee of $60.00 will be charged. All equipment must be returned in good working order or a clean-up fee of $50.00 will be charged.

Changes:

Changes to an existing order: size, style, flavor, or filling will be accepted until 10 business days prior to the wedding. After that there will be a change charge of $75.00 for any modification to the order.

Deposits:

A 50% deposit is due the time the order is placed. The remaining 50% is due 2 weeks before the wedding. If cancellation is made more than one week to the event date, a refund will be given minus any food or items we have already purchased. We retain the right to keep 100% of the deposit if cancellation is made less than one week before the event date, except in the case of extreme emergencies, in which case 50% of the deposit will be returned.

Delivery/Setup:

Our delivery and setup charges are based on difficulty and distance from the bakery. If no one is at the site at the time of delivery or if we cannot gain entry into the building, we will return the cake to the bakery. The responsibility for the delivery then becomes yours. Please take time to confirm the time of delivery with the reception site so this does not happen.

Styles of wedding cakes:

Stacked Cakes – layers are placed one on top of another with no space in between

Pillared Cakes – layers are separated using pillars. Pillars come in various heights and are either inserted directly into the cake or used with pillar plate. We use round, plastic dowel rods in the cake layers to ensure your cake will be straight with no chance of tipping over.

Cascading Cakes – the name given to the cake when each tier is sitting on top of an individual acrylic tube with different sizes flowing down creating a cascading look.

The Groom's cake:

Our popular and very classy groom's cake is the traditional round cake with a basketweave design topped with tuxedo strawberries. The cake consist of two layers of chocolate pound cake and a layer of either a fruit filling (raspberry is very popular) or the traditional chocolate butter cream. Pricing on this cake depends on the size of the cake and the price of the strawberries. Other fruit may be substituted.
